In years past I’ve typically liked to release my rankings with a bunch of written analysis and publish as a series of fun and/or analytical articles leading up to and after my rankings release. This year unfortunately, between work, family life and all of the craziness that the year 2020 has so generously provided us with, I have just not been able to find the time to publish the same amount of content. Despite not taking myself too seriously, I do take a lot of pride in what I actually put out for consumption, and I did not want to put out anything half-heartedly. I have been able to do about the same level of prospect watching, research and analysis as in years past, but I just have not been able to find the time to convert this information into publishable content. For that, I apologize.

That said, I was able to publish my favorite annual article where I award the Ty Smith Memorial trophy. Congratulations again to Mr. Jan Mysak! The whole crew (including George Obremski and Rich Coyle) was also able to publish rankings in May and December. Please feel free to check out the Ty Smith piece and the May rankings if you have not already.

While I am no less busy now than I have been all year, I did want to publish my final draft rankings prior to the draft tomorrow night. I’ve referenced these ranks on recent podcast appearances, and tonight myself along with Ryan and Greg will be doing a live mock draft on the podcast, so I wanted you all to have them in written form for reference.

My apologies again for not being able to publish the amount of content about the draft as I have in the past. As always, I hope you enjoy these rankings, and please do not hesitate to reach out to me on Twitter if you have any comments, feedback or questions.

Thanks, and here’s to hoping for an excellent draft by the Rangers tomorrow night to kick things off right in the age of Alexis Lafrenière.
